My newest webcomic obsession is a fake Dungeons and Dragons quest through the Star Wars movies. The jokes are aplenty and well deserved. The best part is that this is the guy tells his story using screen captions from the movies. It is all too easy to find a screen caption of an actor looking goofy. Awesome.

The subject lines of spam emails can be stunningly hilarious at times. One artist felt the same, and has created a website where he creates cartoons that match the subject of a spam email. The image shown to the left came from the subject line "Old Toy New Size".

D&D ancestry issues

Dear Jennifer,

Now that I've torn through the webcomic for Order of the Stick, my buddy Matt has turned me onto this new D&D related strip - "The DM of the Rings". Basically it takes players through the story of Lord of the Rings and points out all the ways that the game has evolved away from its original inspiration. At the bottom of the strips, the author discusses where the deviation occurred, or gives general dungeon master advice. Very entertaining, with a lot of breaking of the fourth wall. I am happy to have a new obsession. : )

I almost dropped off the Earth, I became so obsessed with the Order of the Stick webcomic (Ethan bought me the game for my birthday). But long before I loved OOTS, I was a big fan of Questionable Content. It's kind of like "Friends" as a webcomic, only younger, and with more geek pop culture. And it's got a semi-murderous robot character called Pintsize!!!

Here is a funny, bittersweet web comic called Sad Cat. The titular character is a gray, fuzzy cat that can never get real love from its little boy owner. It feels wrong to laugh...and yet so entertaining.

I know you may not truck much in the world of role-playing games, but a hardcore D 'n' D friend of mine has recently turned me on to the webstrip ORDER OF THE STICK.

Even if you do not understand all of the game references, it still becomes a highly entertaining and addictive story.
