Bump bump bump!

Dear Meredith:

Don't bother looking for the rules for this game, because they're not posted on the website. You're supposed to figure it out for yourself. Perhaps infuriating at first, yes, but omfg, does this game quickly become addicting.

The blood splats are a nice touch.

Dear Meredith:

Pretend you are a goose. Pretend you are a goose on a mission to fly over the world and collect other geese so that you can fly in V formation. But beware! Don't hit any manmade aircraft!

Don't blame me if you do nothing productive with the rest of your Friday.

It's like scrabble and tetris combined in one.

Dear Meredith:

I do love playing Scrabble. This online game takes it one notch up - letter tiles fall, and you need to use them to create words before they disappear.

Another addictive webcomic!

Dear Jennifer,
I almost dropped off the Earth, I became so obsessed with the Order of the Stick webcomic (Ethan bought me the game for my birthday). But long before I loved OOTS, I was a big fan of Questionable Content. It's kind of like "Friends" as a webcomic, only younger, and with more geek pop culture. And it's got a semi-murderous robot character called Pintsize!!!

I heart Pintsize

An addictive webcomic!

Dear Jennifer,

I know you may not truck much in the world of role-playing games, but a hardcore D 'n' D friend of mine has recently turned me on to the webstrip ORDER OF THE STICK.

Even if you do not understand all of the game references, it still becomes a highly entertaining and addictive story.

The humor is totally related

Dear Jennifer,

Are you trolling the internet, desperately seeking the most random pictures the web can compile? Well, let this website do the scouring for you! It provides goodies like this:

You're welcome in advance.

This is the only cat I like.

Dear Meredith:

I don't know why, but Get Fuzzy is one of my favorite comic strips ever. Maybe it's because the cat is so snarklily mean. Way better than that milquetoast Garfield.

XKCD for thee!

Dear Jennifer,

What you need in your life is the joy that can only be brought by a webcomic that is a combination of "Romance, Sarcasm, Math and Language."

Enjoy

99 Things You Should Have Seen By Now

Dear Jennifer,

I hope you're having a great time, wherever you may be. When you do check in, you should give this a whirl:

Greg Rutter's 99 Things

He collects the top 99 things you should have seen on the Internet by now. Since you are so well schooled in surfing procrastination, I figured this list is more your Little Black Book and less your Bucket List.

But just in case.

Brevity is the soul of schadenfreude

This incredible masterpiece of a website collects submitted personal fails. These are normally brief recounts of why each person's life is effed that you can vote to support or to condemn.

If you love "Not Always Right" welcome to your new master.

Holy crap, amazingness for free!

Wizard Magazine is one of my all-time faves. It has gossip, rumors, and critiques of all things comics (including upcoming movies and shows based on comics) and often throws non-comic Sci Fi and Fantasy in for good measure. It also has a lot of fun editorial pieces. I was going to look into prices for a new subscription and DISCOVERED THAT A LOT OF THEIR GOODNESS IS FREE ONLINE!

Prepare to be entertained for hours:

Why is anger so very funny?

Especially when it's directed at adorable, sassy animals? This blog is the 'anti LOL cat' blog. It posts adorable pictures of animals, and then berates them for their calculated cuteness and egomania. This is definitely one where I had to cover my mouth at work while reading because I was laughing so hard.

So excited for new television shows!

You know that it's a sad, sad couple of weeks when you are actually so busy you can't procrastinate. But you know what? With the writer's strike over, and all the wonderful, very dearly missed television shows coming back on the air, ah, I smell more wasting time ahead of me. In case you missed your favorite show, or you need to brush up (but, ahem, can't actually watch the shows online at work or wherever you are), check out the sites below. Television Without Pity gives more comprehensive recaps (they used to be funnier, but sadly aren't as snarky as they were before), while TVgasm recaps more reality shows, and they really let their mockery fly (their captioned pictures are especially priceless).
