A little more TV never hurt anyone

One of the greatest tragedies is that I don't have cable. It's sadly true, because I know that I would watch So Much Television if I had it, and really, I don't need any more help procrastinating. But ah, this website allows me to catch up on all those television shows I don't otherwise get to enjoy. Sometimes it takes a bit for the video to load, and sometimes there is Chinese subtitling, but it's worth it. If you click on "launch resizeable window", the video will pop out into a separate window so that you can multi-task as I do, with half of my monitor open to my current paper and the other half the show of choice (currently alternating between Nip/Tuck and Weeds).

(By the way, they have Rainbow Brite and She-ra!! If only they also had the Smurfs and Scooby-Doo. My life would then have been truly complete.)

You know that more men than women actually visit this website

The good ol' British. In a quest to help women find the perfect sports bra, this website was created by the fine folks at Shock Absorber. You can input your bra size, level of activity - and see what your boobs look like when you are moving at that activity level without a bra (yes, that means naked boobies), with a normal bra, and with a properly-supportive sports bra. Because I know that you're just automatically going to choose the biggest breast option as well as most active options, let me just say that it's actually a wee bit more horrific than anything else. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I love these types of games, but I am woefully bad at them

The description from their webpage describes it best:
MOTAS is an online graphic adventure game in which the adventurer has to solve riddles and puzzles, find and use objects, escape from locked rooms, find hidden passages and be a detective and examine everything to unlock the doors of the mystery of time and space.
You can google for walk-throughs, but that sort of takes the fun out of it all - unless you just want to see what happens in the end.

Penguins and Cannons!

More recreational penguin torture. Don't forget to use the grenades and rockets. Play two player game against yourself to play faster turns.

Conquer Antarctica

In case "hello" isn't sufficient

I should add the latest winner to this list: "It's not about you, it's not about me. It's beyond you and me. It's about us." Yes, a guy did actually use this on me this past weekend. I don't want to say that it actually was effective, but it did get conversation rolling. Maybe that was the whole point.

In case you're stuck at a bar and someone catches your fancy, maybe you can try one of these out. Let us know if any of them worked.

(By the way - click on the image to make it bigger if you can't read the text. It's quite funny.)

The Most Complete and Useless Collection of Pick-Up Lines

In the internet version, you can't cheat by reading all the endings first

I used to love those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books. Here's an internet version, with 223 different endings, not including the "hard mode."

If you live in L.A., like cheese and like voting...

...then this is the place to be for the month of April. It sounds like this place is worth visiting if only to see all that insane hard work in person.

I look at the outfits on the covers now, and wonder why I thought they were the epitome of fashion

Like so many, I loved reading The Baby-Sitters Club when I was in elementary/middle school. I mean, they were so cool. They had a club, and it was all around baby-sitting. How entrepreneurial! How much fun! I was also jealous because I wasn't allowed to baby-sit. But, I did have the first half of all the books published, until I sadly outgrew them.

But, in case you want to relive the memories through a more mature and snarkier lens, the author of the below webpage has taken to rereading all of the books and sharing her 20-something POV on the happenings of the Kristy, Claudia, Mary Anne, Stacey, and the rest.

Satisfaction and Frustration...

...are all a part of procrastination. When playing this game, make sure to sight your cannon fire slightly ahead of your target. Hold down the mouse button for more firepower!

Oink oink!

Draw a pig, and see what it says about your personality. That's my pig pictured. I am definitely no artist, but apparently I am a stubborn realist who believes in tradition.
