Just because it's the end of the week, it doesn't mean you can slack off! Try this little game that tests your ability to eyeball angles and distances.
We both love money. We know it. And we both know how hard a time I have understanding real money and not digitized money that is tracked by my pretty credit card. So - to make it easier for those of us who can't picture how much a trillion dollars (a figure so hotly debated these days) looks like, I direct your attention to this webpage.
Bear in mind - this is what ONE MILLION DOLLARS looks like:
Maybe it's better that I (we) went to an all-girl's school. Because otherwise, can you imagine if we had boys in our classes, and we wrote them love letters, and then they later SCANNED THEM AND PUT THEM ONLINE? The horrors!
Are you trolling the internet, desperately seeking the most random pictures the web can compile? Well, let this website do the scouring for you! It provides goodies like this:
I don't know why, but Get Fuzzy is one of my favorite comic strips ever. Maybe it's because the cat is so snarklily mean. Way better than that milquetoast Garfield.
Need some art combined with pop culture combined with conjecture? These two Youtube videos explore what the STAR WARS opening credits would look like if Saul Bass had done them.
You may recall Saul Bass as being the dude who made posters like this:
Well, some cool person on the internet did a "what if?" with STAR WARS and Saul Bass. If Saul Bass had done the opening titles of STAR WARS, they would have (maybe) looked like this:
Even awesomer is how an even cooler person on the internet did a mockup of how the credits would have looked on the REDUX of STAR WARS. Check out the change to Harrison Ford's introduction, and the final, explosively amazing, image. Well pontificated.
The most lovely little home office I ever saw featured a pink iMac, and the words "Think Pink!" stenciled on the walls. In pink, of course. I am still envious of that home office (and the rest of the house as well, since it was located in the only gated community in Paris, and had an honest-to-God turret). But I digress. Maybe this little video clip, from one of my favorite movies, Funny Face, will help get you through the day.
Oh, it is still Monday? To help you pass this tedious day, perhaps a little bit of origami will help get your creative juices flowing. Or, at the very least, you'll have something physical to show for all of your procrastination.
